Stats
Bio
Recruited from Glenorchy in Tasmania, Chris Curran carried the burden of significant expectation after Richmond selected him with pick 3 in the 1991 National Draft. He was unable to cement a spot in the Tigers' lineup, playing just four games in two seasons before finding himself on the scrapheap. Collingwood offered a career lifeline by selecting him with the third pick in the 1995 Pre-Season Draft, allowing him to reinvent himself as a utility capable of playing forward or through the midfield. Although he managed a more sustained run at Victoria Park, injuries and inconsistent form prevented him from fulfilling his early potential, and he retired from the top level with just 34 senior matches to his name.
