Bio
Recruited from Xavier College and the Cora Lynn Football Club with pick 72 in the 1988 National Draft, Chris O'Sullivan was a stylish rover who moved north to join the Brisbane Bears during the club's formative years. He broke into the senior side during the chaotic Carrara era, playing six games in his debut season and adding another two in 1990, but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the midfield rotation against more experienced bodies. While his tenure at the elite level was brief, O'Sullivan demonstrated his genuine football ability in the local state league shortly after leaving the Bears. He transferred to the powerhouse Southport Sharks and became a standout contributor in the QAFL, capping off his Queensland stint by tying for the prestigious Grogan Medal in 1992.
