Bio
Chris Sullivan arrived at Melbourne with a familiar surname as the son of 191-game veteran Tony Sullivan, joining the club from Mazenod Old Collegians. A pacy rover and half-forward with sharp goal sense, he showed early promise by kicking three goals on debut and winning the Demons' Best First Year Player award in 1992. Despite this bright start, he struggled to cement a regular senior spot in subsequent years, spending the entire 1993 season in the reserves where he was part of a premiership side. Seeking a fresh start, Sullivan was traded to Richmond following the 1994 season in exchange for a late draft pick. He was unable to replicate his early form at Punt Road, serving largely as a depth player across two seasons before finishing his AFL career to play for Frankston in the VFA.
