Stats
Bio
A mature-age recruit who took the long road to the AFL, Christin Macri hailed from Leongatha and established himself in the SANFL with Central District before the Western Bulldogs selected him with pick 73 in the 1998 National Draft. Standing 189cm, he was a big-bodied midfielder capable of taking a strong overhead mark, a trait he famously displayed when booting his first goal against Carlton in his debut season. He broke into the senior side at 24 years of age but struggled to cement a regular spot in a competitive Bulldogs lineup, managing just five games across two seasons. Following his delisting at the end of 2000, he became a respected figure in regional football, captain-coaching the Wodonga Raiders and later guiding Ganmain-Grong Grong Matong to a premiership in the Riverina.
