Bio
Recruited from North Adelaide, Christopher Ladhams initially joined Essendon as a second-round draft pick but found his path blocked by the all-conquering Bombers lineup of the turn of the century, failing to play a senior game in two seasons. He was thrown a lifeline by the Adelaide Crows in the 2001 Pre-Season Draft, allowing him to return to his home state where he quickly broke into the senior side for a Round 1 debut. A classy left-footed utility with excellent goal sense, Ladhams became a regular fixture during the Crows' 2002 and 2003 campaigns, often deployed as a creative half-forward or link-up player. He etched his name into local folklore during the 2003 pre-season competition with a stunning match-winning checkside goal to sink arch-rivals Port Adelaide in the dying seconds. Despite this highlight, he struggled to hold his spot in the senior 22 over subsequent years and was delisted following the 2005 season, eventually returning to the SANFL where he became a club stalwart for the Roosters.
