Bio
Recruited from County Cork as an accomplished Gaelic footballer who had already tasted All-Ireland Championship success, Ciaran Sheehan joined Carlton as a Category B international rookie ahead of the 2014 season. He quickly adapted to the oval ball, displaying poise and clean distribution as a rebounding defender, and showed genuine potential during a four-game stint late in his debut year. Unfortunately, his AFL career was effectively derailed by a wretched run of injuries, most notably severe hip problems that wiped out his entire 2015 and 2016 campaigns. Although he managed to fight his way back for two senior appearances in 2017, the Irishman could not maintain continuity and was delisted at the end of the season, leaving the league as a talented prospect whose body let him down.
