Selected by West Coast with pick 38 in the 2023 National Draft, Clay Hall is the son of former player Derek Hall, though he did not qualify as a father-son selection for either the Eagles or Geelong. A product of Peel Thunder, the left-footed midfielder entered the AFL system renowned for his elite endurance and ability to win contested possession. Despite joining a rebuilding squad eager for young talent, Hall found a regular senior berth difficult to secure during his initial campaigns, often rotating through the side as he adjusted to the tempo of elite football. With a modest tally of games to his name, he remains a developing on-baller striving to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the West Coast engine room.
