Bio
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels with pick 24 in the 2007 National Draft, Clayton Hinkley arrived at Fremantle carrying high expectations due to his elite speed and endurance testing results. A line-breaking midfielder capable of pushing forward, he made an immediate impression by debuting in the opening round of the 2008 season and playing 13 games in his rookie year as the Dockers looked to inject pace into their lineup. Despite this promising start, Hinkley struggled to develop the contested side of his game and found it difficult to cement a regular spot in the senior side under Mark Harvey. After adding just nine more appearances over the subsequent three seasons while battling form and injury issues, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2011 season.
