Bio
Recruited from Mortlake in the Western District, Clif Palmer was a solidly built utility who arrived at Kardinia Park during Geelong's transitional phase in the late 1950s. Standing 183cm, he offered a physical presence but found it difficult to command a regular spot in the senior lineup, managing just a handful of appearances across two seasons. After debuting in 1958 and kicking his solitary career goal, he added limited games the following year before departing the VFL scene, ultimately remaining one of the many country recruits who briefly tasted elite football before returning to the bush.
