Stats
Bio
Recruited from Northcote in the VFA, Cliff Hutton was a formidable physical presence in the ruck during the pre-war era. Standing 188cm and weighing nearly 100kg, he was a giant by the standards of the day, utilizing his imposing frame to control stoppages and provide protection for his smaller teammates. He debuted for Fitzroy in 1911 as part of a significant influx of new talent, quickly establishing himself as a regular component of the Maroons' following division. After two solid seasons at Brunswick Street, Hutton made a cross-town switch to Richmond in 1913, but his stint at Punt Road was brief, managing just six senior appearances before concluding his VFL career.
