Stats
Bio
Clive McCorkell was a country recruit from Colac who earned a brief opportunity at the top level with Essendon during the 1933 season. Standing approximately 182cm, he broke into the senior side seven times in his solitary year at Windy Hill, notably playing alongside club legend Dick Reynolds during the triple Brownlow Medallist's debut season. Unable to secure a permanent place in the Bombers' lineup, he transferred to the VFA to play for Camberwell the following year. McCorkell's football journey came to a premature and painful end just three games into his stint with the Cobras, where he suffered a severe broken leg against Sandringham that effectively finished his serious playing career.
