Bio
Recruited from Port Adelaide in the SANFL, Clive Waterhouse arrived at Fremantle with the significant pressure of being the number one selection in the 1995 National Draft. A dynamic medium-sized forward capable of spectacular feats, he became known for his strong overhead marking and ability to turn matches in a short burst, though his goal-kicking accuracy and general consistency could be erratic. This unpredictability, combined with his match-winning potential, cemented his status as a cult hero among the Dockers' supporter base during the club's often difficult early years.
Waterhouse's career highlight remains his dominant performance in the 2000 'Demolition Derby' against West Coast, where he booted seven goals to engineer a comeback victory from a 42-point deficit. Despite topping the club's goalkicking on two occasions, his output in the latter stages of his career was severely hampered by persistent hamstring and knee injuries. He was delisted following the 2004 season, remembered as a talented but injury-plagued forward who provided some of the brightest moments in Fremantle's first decade.
