Bio
A local recruit from Cheltenham YCW within the club's metropolitan zone, Colin Carter was a tall wingman who provided run for St Kilda during a particularly lean era for the Saints. He broke into the senior lineup midway through the 1975 season and quickly established himself, enjoying his most consistent campaign in 1976 when he played 19 games and kicked 11 goals as a regular fixture in the midfield. Standing 183cm, Carter had the height to contest overhead but primarily operated as an outside link player who could drift forward. Despite missing the entire 1978 season, he fought his way back into the senior side the following year to add valuable depth to a struggling squad, eventually concluding his VFL career with a final handful of appearances in 1980.
