Bio
Recruited from Wesley College, Colin Cox was a lightly built utility whose VFL career was significantly curtailed by the Second World War. After debuting for Fitzroy as an 18-year-old in 1941, he managed just five senior appearances for the Lions, with his development interrupted by military service during the conflict's peak years. He returned to the field in 1946 but struggled to cement a regular spot in the lineup, eventually crossing to Melbourne for the 1948 season. Despite the change of scenery, Cox found it difficult to break into a strong Demons side that claimed the premiership that year, adding just three games to his tally over two seasons before departing the league.
