Stats
Bio
Recruited from Rutherglen in country Victoria, Colin Crampton was a physically imposing figure who stood at 194cm, a massive height for a footballer in the 1950s. Arriving at Arden Street in 1956, he offered North Melbourne a significant aerial presence as a ruckman or key position player, but he found it difficult to translate his size into consistent senior selection. He managed just six games and a solitary goal across two seasons before his VFL career concluded at the end of 1957. Crampton eventually returned to country football, where he later served as captain-coach for Moyhu in the Ovens & King Football League.
