Bio
Recruited from local side West Footscray, Colin Dell was a serviceable utility who spent seven seasons at the Western Oval during the 1970s. Primarily utilised on the wing or half-forward flank, he possessed reasonable pace and ball-winning ability but often struggled to cement a permanent place in the senior side, playing more than 15 games in a season only once. Despite his inconsistency preventing him from becoming a headline act, Dell remained a reliable depth player for Footscray throughout a challenging decade for the club before departing after the 1977 season.
