Bio
Hailing from Penola in South Australia but recruited from Kyabram in the Goulburn Valley, Colin Graham was a gifted talent who debuted for Melbourne as a 17-year-old. A member of the famous Graham football family and nephew of Sturt legend Michael Graham, he was a smooth-moving left-footed half-forward and rover known for his penetrating kicking ability. He became just the third Indigenous player to represent the Demons, and his time at the club is best remembered for a stunning long-range goal against St Kilda at Moorabbin in 1977 which snatched a late victory for his side. Homesickness brought his promising VFL career to a premature end after just four seasons, and he returned to South Australia. Graham later overcame a severe car accident to play for Sturt and enjoyed significant success in the NTFL with St Mary's, where he won the prestigious Nicholls Medal.
