Stats
Bio
A tall recruit from Longford in Tasmania, Colin Jackson arrived at Melbourne in 1930 and earned his place in club history through one of the more chaotic debuts of the era. While standing 185cm—significant height for the time—he was capable of playing on a wing or as a forward, offering an athletic point of difference for the Demons. His first senior opportunity in Round 2 came only as an emergency measure, hurriedly added to the team sheet when the selected 19th man failed to appear at the MCG. Jackson played just one more match against Essendon later that season before returning home to Tasmanian football at the conclusion of the year.
