Bio
Recruited from Katunga in the Goulburn Valley, Colin Nish was a defensive utility who earned a brief opportunity at VFL level with Geelong during the mid-1970s. Standing 182cm, he possessed the size to play on the flanks or in key defensive posts, but found himself on the fringe of a Cats squad that was pushing for finals action under coach Rodney Olsson. After breaking into the senior side for two games in his debut 1976 season, he added another eight appearances the following year but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the backline. Nish departed Kardinia Park after the 1977 season having played 10 senior games without registering a goal, eventually returning to country football where he became a premiership player for his home club.
