Bio
Recruited from the Goulburn Valley region, Con Kennedy was a country footballer who made a brief but flawless contribution to Essendon during the 1906 VFL season. Born in Tallarook, he broke into the senior side in June and featured in four consecutive matches, enjoying a perfect winning record at the elite level as the Bombers defeated Carlton, South Melbourne, Geelong, and St Kilda during his tenure. Despite the team's success—including a narrow two-point victory in his final appearance—Kennedy was unable to retain his spot for the finals campaign and did not play VFL football again. He eventually returned to the Seymour district, where he lived for the remainder of his life before passing away in 1950.
