Stats
Bio
A precocious talent from Cairns who had already tasted senior premiership success with Windsor-Zillmere at age 17, Craig Brittain joined North Melbourne as a highly touted junior. He captained the Kangaroos' Under-19s and looked set for a bright VFL future when he broke into the senior lineup in 1984, but persistent knee injuries severely restricted his output and eventually forced his return to Queensland. Brittain wasted no time establishing himself as a QAFL great, captaining Windsor-Zillmere to the 1988 premiership under the coaching of his brother Wayne and claiming the Grogan Medal by a record margin in the same season. He later extended his influence as a premiership-winning coach with North Brisbane and a long-serving recruiting manager and reserves coach for the Brisbane Lions, guiding their second tier to a flag in 2001.
