Stats
Bio
A decorated WAFL star who finally earned his shot at the elite level, Craig Treleven arrived at Hawthorn as a mature-age recruit after winning the 1995 Sandover Medal with East Fremantle. Selected with pick 16 in the 1996 Pre-Season Draft, "Jock" wasted no time establishing himself in the Hawks' midfield, translating his state league dominance into a role as a tenacious run-with player. While often tasked with nullifying dangerous opposition midfielders, he was far from a one-dimensional tagger, regularly winning plenty of his own ball and using his superior endurance to grind opponents out of the contest. He remained a consistent and reliable fixture in the side throughout the late 1990s before persistent injuries curtailed his 2000 campaign, prompting his return to West Australian football.
