Bio
Recruited from Tongala in the Goulburn Valley, Dale Dickson commenced his VFL career with Melbourne in 1982. He established himself as a serviceable wingman and half-back flanker for the Demons, playing 56 games over five seasons before looking for new opportunities during the competition's national expansion. Dickson joined the Brisbane Bears as an inaugural squad member in 1987, providing necessary VFL experience to the fledgling Queensland side. While he featured regularly during the Bears' debut season, his opportunities diminished over the following two years, and he eventually retired at the conclusion of the 1989 season with 86 senior games to his name.
