Stats
Bio
Recruited from Churchill in the Mid Gippsland Football League, Dale Foster was a tall key position prospect who arrived at Hawthorn during a transitional period for the club. Standing at 191cm, he possessed the frame to play as a key post or pinch-hit in the ruck, offering depth to the Hawks' big man stocks. Foster broke into the senior side late in the 1980 season, making his debut in a substantial victory over Melbourne at the MCG. He retained his spot for three consecutive matches, featuring in wins against the Demons and South Melbourne, before falling out of the rotation. Despite the brief taste of senior football, Foster did not add to his tally in subsequent seasons, leaving the VFL with a short but undefeated streak in his starts.
