Bio
Recruited from North Geelong in the local leagues, Dale Mather was a 175cm utility who struggled to nail down a permanent position at Kardinia Park during a transitional era for the club. Making his debut in the late stages of the Reg Hickey reign, Mather featured sporadically across three seasons, often finding himself on the fringe of the senior side as the Cats moved under the stewardship of Bob Davis. While he failed to hit the scoreboard during his dozen appearances, he provided defensive depth before eventually departing the VFL scene following the 1961 season.
