Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Bendigo Pioneers with pick 30 in the 1997 National Draft, Damien Lock was a small defender who experienced one of football's harshest fortunes during his brief time at Princes Park. After breaking into the senior side for five games in his debut year, Lock became a regular contributor in the Carlton backline throughout the 1999 season, culminating in his selection for the famous Preliminary Final upset over Essendon. However, he was controversially omitted from the Grand Final team the following week to make way for the returning Glenn Manton, meaning the Preliminary Final victory remained his final match at AFL level. Despite playing 13 games in a side that reached the premiership decider, Lock was delisted at the conclusion of the season.
