Bio
A foundation member of St Kilda's inaugural VFL squad, Dan Collins participated in the earliest chapters of the club's league history following the breakaway from the VFA. He featured in the Saints' debut season of 1897 but found senior opportunities scarce, managing just two appearances as the team endured a winless campaign. He returned to add five more games in 1898, yet was unable to cement a regular position in a side that consistently languished at the bottom of the ladder. Collins departed the elite level after two seasons, remaining a minor figure in the club's difficult formative years.
