Stats
Bio
Recruited from Coragulac in the Hampden Football League, Dan Harrington joined Fitzroy on the back of a stellar 1973 season in which he claimed the Maskell Medal as the competition's best and fairest player. A strongly built utility standing 188cm, Harrington possessed the size to play key position roles or as a follower, yet he found opportunities limited at the Lions during a period of list transition. He managed just seven senior appearances across three years, often spending time in the reserves before breaking back into the side for a handful of games in 1976. Unable to cement a permanent place in the VFL, he moved to South Australia where he carved out a more substantial career in the SANFL, playing for both West Adelaide and Central District.
