Bio
Recruited from Wodonga in the 1995 National Draft, Daniel Bradshaw joined the Brisbane Bears just prior to their transition into the Lions entity. A classical full-forward renowned for his strong hands on the lead and a technically sound set shot, Bradshaw was a pivotal figure in Brisbane's golden era, featuring in the 2001 and 2003 premiership sides. Despite his prolific scoring record, he often played a secondary role to Alastair Lynch or Jonathan Brown, a dynamic that saw him occasionally swung to fullback where he proved a capable key defender.
His departure from the Gabba remains one of the more controversial episodes in the club's trade history. At the end of 2009, Brisbane attempted to trade Bradshaw to Carlton as part of a deal to secure Brendan Fevola. Feeling disrespected after 13 seasons of service, he rejected the move to the Blues and entered the Pre-Season Draft, where he was recruited by Sydney. While injuries limited his time with the Swans, he famously kicked six goals against his former club in 2010 before persistent knee and hamstring issues forced his retirement the following year, finishing his career as one of the most underrated goalkickers of the modern era.
