Bio
Recruited from Central District with pick 30 in the 1999 National Draft, Daniel Schell was a strong-marking key forward who showed early promise at Fremantle without ever fully commanding a regular spot in the senior side. After two seasons in the West, he returned to his native South Australia via a trade to the Adelaide Crows, hoping to revitalise his career in a familiar environment. However, Schell struggled to replicate his prolific SANFL form at the highest level, finding himself unable to consistently break into a competitive Crows lineup. He added just 11 games to his career tally during his two years at West Lakes before being delisted, ultimately returning to the Bulldogs where he re-established himself as a dominant force in the state league.
