Stats
Bio
Recruited from VFA powerhouse Williamstown, Danny del-Re established himself as a cult figure and potent focal point for Footscray during the early 1990s. Despite lacking the imposing height or athleticism of a prototypical full-forward, he relied on sharp leading patterns, strong hands, and clinical accuracy to consistently impact the scoreboard. His career peak arrived in the 1992 season where he booted 70 goals and played a key role in the club's march to a preliminary final, subsequently topping the Bulldogs' goalkicking table again in 1993. While his lack of pace and recurring hamstring issues eventually limited his longevity at the elite level, del-Re remained a dangerous deep forward until his delisting at the conclusion of the 1994 season.
