Teams

A Victorian junior who failed to break through at Carlton, Danny Noonan reinvented himself in the Tasmanian Football League with Clarence before emerging as a key midfielder for the Brisbane Bears. Recruited as a pre-draft selection, Noonan was a tall and agile utility who became an immediate ball magnet for the struggling Bears, renowned for his ability to accumulate possessions and drive the ball forward. His career peaked during the 1992 season when he played every game, led the club in total disposals, and finished equal runner-up in the best and fairest count. Despite establishing himself as a vital senior regular, Noonan returned to Clarence after just three seasons, where he added to his extensive local trophy cabinet and eventually earned induction into the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame.
