Stats
Bio
Recruited from the University Blues in the VAFA, Danny Powell was a diminutive rover who capitalized on the opportunities available during the war-depleted 1942 season. Standing just 169cm, he proved to be a handy acquisition for the Demons, kicking a goal on debut against Fitzroy and finishing with six majors from his seven senior appearances. His promising cameo was cut short by the Second World War, as he enlisted in the RAAF at the end of the season and served until 1945. Powell did not return to the VFL after his discharge, leaving his brief seven-game stint as a snapshot of a career interrupted by service.
