Bio
A prolific country spearhead, Jackson arrived at Kardinia Park with a formidable reputation after topping the Murray Football League goalkicking charts with Finley in 1983. The full-forward was handed his senior debut in Round 7, 1984 against Collingwood, but found opportunities limited in a Geelong attack that included the likes of Mark Jackson and a young Gary Ablett. He made just one further appearance against Essendon the following week, finishing his brief VFL stint with a solitary goal. While he couldn't quite establish himself at the elite level, Jackson returned to the bush to carve out a legacy as a regional icon, winning three more league goalkicking titles with Finley and spending time in the SANFL with South Adelaide.
