Stats
Bio
Recruited from Lake Boga in northern Victoria, Darren Keighran was a tall utility capable of holding down key defensive posts or playing a versatile role further up the ground. He made his senior debut for the Tigers in Round 3, 1990 against Hawthorn, but a persistent run of injuries severely hampered his ability to string games together at the elite level. Restricted to just two AFL appearances, he was unable to secure a long-term spot at Punt Road but eventually found his footing in the VFA. Following his departure from Richmond, Keighran became a standout figure for Port Melbourne, where he anchored the defence and went on to captain the Borough in 1995.
