Bio
Recruited from Swan Districts, David Ogg arrived at the Brisbane Bears with a strong reputation as a WAFL premiership player and state representative. He was taken with pick 10 in the 1990 National Draft, a selection the Bears secured from Hawthorn as part of the high-profile trade involving Darren Jarman. Ogg was utilised primarily as a midfielder and half-back flanker during his single season in Queensland, averaging 15 disposals across his nine senior games without enjoying a win at the top level. Despite the senior struggles, he played a key role as a ruck-rover in the Bears' historic 1991 reserves premiership victory. He returned to Perth the following year after being selected by West Coast in the Pre-Season Draft but did not add to his AFL tally, later topping the goalkicking for Swan Districts in 1994.
