Bio
Selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2003 National Draft, David Trotter arrived at Arden Street with significant expectations following a standout junior career at Assumption College and the Calder Cannons. A classy, smooth-moving utility known for his poise and precise distribution, he appeared suited for a long career as a rebounding defender or outside midfielder. However, Trotter’s time in the AFL was ultimately defined by persistent hamstring injuries that ravaged his continuity, restricting him to just seven senior appearances across four frustrating seasons. After being delisted at the end of 2007, he moved to the SANFL where he finally enjoyed an injury-free run with Norwood, becoming a key contributor and showcasing the talent that originally warranted a top-ten selection before transitioning into a successful off-field career as a prominent player agent.
