Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Wangaratta Rovers with pick 78 in the 1990 National Draft, Dean Harding was a lively small forward who made an immediate impact during his brief stint at Fitzroy. Standing just 176cm, he relied on natural goal sense and crumbing ability to find space in the Lions' forward line. His debut 1991 season proved to be his most productive, highlighted by a four-goal haul in the final round that helped Fitzroy secure a memorable upset win over the ladder-leading West Coast Eagles at Princes Park. Despite this promising start, Harding struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior side over the subsequent two years, managing only seven more appearances before departing the AFL at the end of 1993. He eventually returned to the Ovens & Murray league, continuing his career with Wodonga.
