Stats
Bio
Recruited from East Brighton in the local bayside leagues, Dennis Bartley was a forward who briefly featured for the Saints during their mid-1960s ascent. Standing 185cm—a solid height for a key position player of that era—he showed immediate promise in his debut season, notably booting three goals against Geelong at Kardinia Park in just his second VFL appearance. Despite playing eight games in 1964 and adding another two in the first half of 1965, Bartley found it difficult to cement a permanent spot in a rapidly strengthening St Kilda lineup that was destined for premiership glory the following year, ultimately leaving Moorabbin with 10 senior games to his name.
