Bio
Recruited from Echuca, Dennis Railton was a tall ruckman and key position player who joined North Melbourne as a teenager in 1960. He balanced his early football career with engineering studies at Caulfield Technical College, a dual focus that defined his time at Arden Street. Railton managed 35 senior games over four seasons, often rotating between the ruck and the forward line, but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the Kangaroos' best 22. He departed the VFL following the 1963 season and continued his career in country football, notably representing the Western Border Football League as a centre half-forward in exhibition matches against League opposition during the mid-1960s.
