Bio
Recruited from Myrtleford in the strong Ovens & Murray Football League, Dennis Smith arrived at Richmond as a promising defender with a club Best and Fairest already under his belt. He lined up primarily on the half-back flank for the Tigers, playing 13 games during a brief stint at VFL level across the 1960 and 1961 seasons. Unable to establish a long-term place in the senior lineup, Smith eventually returned to Myrtleford, where he became a key figure and stalwart of the club over a 175-game career in country football.
