Bio
Arriving at the Brisbane Lions as the Larke Medalist and West Australian captain from the 2019 National Draft, Deven Robertson faced the difficult task of breaking into one of the competition's most formidable midfield units. The nephew of West Coast premiership captain Darren Glass, he established himself as a contested ball-winner with a strong defensive edge, often utilised in tagging roles to nullify opposition playmakers. Despite his high work rate and tackling pressure, Robertson found himself perpetually on the fringe of the Lions' best 22, unable to consistently displace established stars in the rotation. Seeking greater opportunity after six seasons and 47 games at the Gabba, he requested a trade to the West Coast Eagles ahead of the 2026 season, returning to his home state with the aim of becoming a permanent fixture in the midfield.
