Stats
Bio
Recruited from Greensborough in the Diamond Valley Football League, Dick Burrows was a tall teenage prospect who broke into the Richmond lineup during the 1961 season. Standing 189cm, he possessed the requisite height for a key position or ruck role in that era and was handed his debut as a 19-year-old in a Tigers side that was struggling for traction near the bottom of the ladder. He managed five senior appearances that year under coach Des Rowe, typically utilised as a defensive tall to combat opposition big men, but was unable to trouble the scorers or cement a long-term spot in the starting eighteen. Following his brief stint at VFL level, Burrows departed Punt Road and returned to Greensborough, where he continued to feature for his home club in the local leagues well into the 1960s.
