Stats
Bio
Recruited from Port Melbourne where he had established a reputation as a prolific scorer in the VFA, Dick Gosling joined Essendon late in the 1926 season to bolster the forward line. He made an immediate impact on debut against South Melbourne, booting four goals, and maintained a high strike rate to finish his first year with ten majors from just four appearances. Despite this promising start and a natural ability to find the goals, Gosling managed only one senior game early in the 1927 season before drifting out of the side. He ultimately returned to the VFA, leaving behind a brief but highly efficient VFL record as a dangerous deep forward.
