Stats
Bio
Recruited from the local junior ranks at Carlton Imperials, Dick Hart joined the Blues during the VFL's infancy, debuting in the 1901 season. A versatile sportsman who also played cricket for the Carlton Cricket Club and worked as a ground bowler at the MCG, Hart played as a forward-leaning utility who managed to snag four goals across his 11 senior games. His football career was ultimately brief, concluding at the end of 1902 just prior to the club's first golden era under Jack Worrall, but he went on to establish a prominent profile away from the field. Following in the footsteps of his father, Hart became a distinguished figure in the Victorian agricultural scene, serving for decades as a government poultry inspector and show judge.
