Bio
Recruited from Box Hill early in the 1926 season, Dick Logan made an immediate impression at Hawthorn, earning a senior debut after being named best on ground in his very first reserves match. Standing at just 165cm and weighing a featherweight 59kg, he was one of the lightest players to ever compete at the VFL level, but he defied his diminutive frame to become a consistent contributor on the wing and half-forward flank. He was a regular fixture in the senior side during the Mayblooms' difficult formative years in the league, missing few games across five seasons before eventually returning to the seconds. His service to the club was capped off in 1932 when he won the Gardiner Medal, recognising him as the best and fairest player in the reserves competition.
