Bio
Recruited from Albert Park, Dick Wittmann arrived at Princes Park as a capable forward who quickly demonstrated an ability to hit the scoreboard. He made his debut midway through the 1920 season and maintained a goal-per-game average throughout his brief tenure in the VFL, often operating as a dangerous option in attack. Although he featured in the Blues' 1921 semi-final side, Wittmann was unable to secure a permanent place in the senior lineup over the long term. After two seasons and 12 appearances, he departed Carlton to continue his football journey in the VFA with North Melbourne.
