Bio
Recruited from West Perth with pick 36 in the 2000 National Draft, Digby Morrell established himself as a powerfully built key forward at North Melbourne. Known for his strong hands and physical presence, he became a cult favourite at Arden Street, often serving as a secondary target alongside Saverio Rocca during the club's transition away from the Wayne Carey era. During the 2003 trade period, Morrell was dealt to Carlton to reunite with former coach Denis Pagan, part of a broader strategy by the Blues to recruit experienced North Melbourne talent. However, he struggled to recapture his best form at Princes Park, where he was frequently utilised as a swingman in defence for a struggling lineup before being delisted at the end of the 2005 season.
