Bio
Born in London, Dinny Fagan was a rare English-born recruit who found his way to the VFL via Moorabbin. Standing 180cm, he operated as a defender for South Melbourne during a transitional period for the club in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Fagan struggled to cement a permanent place in the senior lineup, managing just 19 games across three seasons as he drifted in and out of the side to provide defensive cover. He eventually departed the Lakeside Oval at the end of 1931, missing out on the club's famous "Foreign Legion" recruitment drive that would deliver a premiership just two years later.
