Bio
Recruited from the Western Jets, Dion Miles proved his worth the hard way, winning the North Melbourne reserves best and fairest in 1997 before securing a spot on the senior list via pick 62 in the National Draft. A pacy, hard-running midfielder who knew how to find space, he broke into a formidable Kangaroos lineup midway through the 1998 season, debuting with a goal against Collingwood at the MCG. However, his momentum was halted by a severe knee injury sustained at training shortly after his second appearance. The timing proved costly; facing the difficult task of cracking into North's dominant 1999 premiership side upon his return, he was unable to add to his game tally and was delisted at the end of the season.
